CanSkate
CanSkate is the official learn to skate program of Skate Canada. CanSkate provides kids with the best foundation for figure skating, hockey, speed skating and ringette. The CanSkate program is designed for skaters of all skill levels, so these sessions are the right choice for your new or intermediate skater.

PowerSkate
Get a step up on the competition with PowerSkate, a high-energy instructional power skating program geared to hockey players. This program focuses on balance, control and agility skills including components of power and speed to enhance the skating ability required in game situations.

StarSkate
The STAR program offers the best-in-class figure skating curriculum in Canada, targeting athletes looking for a future in the sport. Taught by Skate Canada NCCP coaches, the program introduces participants to the basic figure skating elements to create the foundation for singles, pairs, and ice dance.

CompetitiveSkate
Skaters who wish to challenge their figure skating skills and who show potential as competitive skaters can participate in the CompetitiveSkate program. CompetitiveSkate is a program for skaters in singles, pair and ice dance wishing to compete in qualifying events within Skate Canada.

Christmas on Ice
Every December, the StarSkaters of Moose Jaw Skating Club perform for Christmas on Ice. The annual show allows skaters to showcase their competition programs and some fun Christmas showpieces.

Our annual ice show is always a whimsical delight of storytelling - with some recent themes including 50 Years of Magic, The Best of the Best, A Hollywood Gala, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Toy Story, and many more!

The MJSC is a non-profit organization run by volunteers. We need your help to run all of the regular skating programming AND to host special events. Speak to someone on the board if you are willing to lend a hand!

CLOSING DATE OF ENTRIES
All registrations must be completed online with entry fees no later than 9:00 PM (CST-SK) on Sunday, August 11th, 2024. Test qualifications are as of August 11th, 2024. All age qualifications are as of July 1, 2024.
2025 Skate Saskatchewan Sectionals
(Pre-Novice - Senior)

PURPOSE OF SECTIONALS
Sectionals identify the top skaters in each Section for advancement to the next round of qualifying events ultimately leading to the Skate Canada Trophy and Canadian National Skating Championships.
The planning and execution of each Sectional Championship is delegated to the Section and/or its host committee with support from Skate Canada nationally, and the event is under the supervision of a Technical Representative assigned by the Section.
